LP chats with Co-founder of Byta, Marc Brown. They talk about music consumption, recommendations, platforms they dig and how Byta is trying to solve pain points around "sharing music before it's on streaming services."
Marc’s deep music business background and digital audio knowledge has helped him deliver unique insights to audiences from Tallinn to Toronto.
Marc is the founder of Byta / byta.com “the platform for music before it’s on streaming services”. Run as a distributed team across 3 continents, Byta enables everyone to send & receive digital audio in a clean and simple way.
Marc got his start at Sloan’s murderecords in Halifax during eastern Canada’s 90s indie rock explosion, then moved to the UK to work in A&R at London’s legendary Creation Records. After falling into radio promotion Marc ran his own boutique promotion company for 14 years before starting Byta. Marc currently lives and works in Gothenburg, Sweden.
