Cat Henry

Executive Director

Cat Henry is an arts advocate and creative producer, specializing in the visioning and planning of live concerts and public arts programs. Cat currently serves as executive director for Live Music Society, a philanthropic foundation whose mission is to recognize and protect small music venues and listening rooms across the U.S. so that live music remains accessible to all. Previously, Cat served as Vice President, Concerts & Touring, for Jazz at Lincoln Center, where she managed all performance-related activities under the JALC brand, including concert seasons at Rose Theater and The Appel Room, worldwide touring of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and nightly sets at Dizzy’s Club. Cat is currently curator of jazz programs for Hudson Hall, where the annual Hudson Jazz Festival brings original, progressive artists to the City of Hudson, New York, and talent buyer for Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. From 2005-2016, Cat programmed ‘Summergarden: New Music for New York' at the Museum of Modern Art, and in 2021 produced poet and activist Mahogany L. Browne’s inaugural Lincoln Center residency for the ‘Restart Stages’ festival. Cat has served as a panelist at arts and music conferences, and adjudicator for the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation on the Arts, Global Leaders Program, and New York Women’s Fund for Music. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Performance from The New School and lives in Brooklyn, NY.
